2011 National TV show air dates announced for Hispanic College Quiz

Teams from 15 HACU-member institutions will be featured in the All-Star edition of the Hispanic College Quiz television series airing during Hispanic Heritage Month, and through Oct. 15. The Hispanic College Quiz will feature highlights from the past three seasons.

The following teams will be featured:

  • Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College (Georgia)
  • Arizona Western College
  • California State University, Los Angeles
  • City Colleges of Chicago
  • Colorado State University, Pueblo
  • East Los Angeles College
  • Eugenio Maria de Hostos Community College, CUNY (New York)
  • Los Angeles Southwest College
  • New Mexico State University
  • Our Lady of the Lake University (Texas)
  • Saint Peter’s College (New Jersey)
  • San Diego State University
  • University of Houston – Downtown
  • University of Houston – Victoria
  • Whittier College (California)
  • Trinity University (Texas)

During the show, testimonials from students who have participated in the Hispanic College Quiz will be aired. The following students will be featured in these testimonials:

  • Mike Guerra (Trinity University)
  • Marisela Lorenzo (California State University, Los Angeles)

The episodes also feature students from across the nation honoring notable Hispanics and their achievements in vignettes that celebrate of Hispanic Heritage Month. The following students are featured in these vignettes:

The Hispanic College Quiz television series is produced by Central City Productions and hosted by NBC news anchor Zoraida Sambolin. This is the fourth year HACU has partnered with Central City Productions to produce the Hispanic College Quiz.
