HACU President delivers keynote address at entertainment industry diversity conference

HACU President and CEO Antonio R. Flores gave the keynote address at the Entertainment Diversity Career Conference held on Sept. 22 on the California State University-Fullerton campus.

The Conference, hosted by The Entertainment Industry College Outreach Program (EICOP) presented by Leveraging Up!, aims to develop and recruit top Latino talent to work in the entertainment industry. The event is part of a partnership formed between EICOP and HACU and the Association’s member Hispanic-Serving Institutions (HSIs).

Flores spoke during the “Industry & Faculty Mixer Luncheon,” a special meet-and-greet time for professors, deans and department chairs to network with industry representatives. Other events held throughout the day included a “Navigating a Career in the Entertainment Industry” workshop, a panel discussion of industry experts, and a recruitment session.



  

The Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities, founded in 1986, represents more than 500 colleges and universities in the United States, Latin America, Spain, and school districts throughout the U.S. HACU is the only national association representing existing and emerging Hispanic-Serving Institutions (HSIs). The Association’s headquarters are in San Antonio, Texas, with regional offices in Washington, D.C. and Sacramento, California.
