HACU presents 2011 awards at its national conference

The Hispanic Association of Colleges & Universities (HACU) presented several Awards of Excellence on October 30-31, during its 25th Annual Conference in San Antonio, Texas.

During the Power Lunch on Oct. 30, the following award was presented:

  • The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs received the Outstanding HACU Public Sector Partner Award in recognition of excellent support by a governmental organization.

Several awards were presented at the Partnership Luncheon on Oct. 31, as follows:  

  • Henry Cisneros was recognized with the HACU Lifelong Leadership Award for his lifelong service to Hispanic higher education.
  • Our Lady of the Lake University (OLLU) received the Outstanding HACU-Member Institution award for excellence in its support of HACU.
  • The Lumina Foundation received the Extraordinary Philanthropic Partner Award in recognition of its outstanding support of HACU.
  • ARAMARK received the Outstanding HACU Private Sector Partner Award in recognition of its extraordinary support of HACU’s mission.
