HACU-member institutions among those granted HSACU certification

As a result of advocacy efforts by HACU and its allies, a new designation has been granted for those Hispanic-Serving Institutions (HSIs) that offer accredited degree programs in agriculture-related fields and award at least 15% of those degrees to Hispanic students.

The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) has released its procedures to certify eligible HSIs as Hispanic-Serving Agricultural Colleges and Universities (HSACUs). From the 71 HSIs that qualify for this designation, 57 are HACU-member institutions.
