HACU to host Town Hall Meeting "Corporate Diversity Meets the HSI" in D.C.

The Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities (HACU) will hold its Town Hall Meeting “Corporate Diversity Meets the HSI” on Oct. 22 from 3:30 - 5 p.m. as part of HACU’s 2012 Annual Conference at the Marriot Wardman Park Hotel in Washington, D.C.

Panel moderator Luke Visconti, CEO of DiversityInc Media LLC, will present topical questions to panel members Mildred Garcia, president of California State University, Fullerton; Rohini Anand, senior VP of diversity at Sodexo; and Jorge Caballero, tax managing partner at Deloitte.

According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, Latinos will make up 74 percent of the increase in new workers this decade, highlighting the need for corporate America to hire college-educated Hispanics and ensure the nation’s ability to compete in the global market. The panel will discuss what is being done, and what needs to be done, to achieve this goal in light of current trends in education regarding Latino participation.
