Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities (HACU)
staff recently welcomed students from colleges and universities nationwide to
the HACU National Internship
Program (HNIP) orientation on Friday, Jan. 11 at the Brookings Institution,
and on Saturday, Jan.12 at the Newseum. The orientation program featured a key
note address by John D. Trasviña, assistant secretary of the Office of Fair
Housing and Equal Opportunity at the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban
Development (HUD), as well as a panel discussion with program alumni.
Student internship assignments for the spring will be from Jan. 10 - April 27. The students in this session are serving federal internships located in Washington, D.C., and field offices across the nation.
