HACU International Conference Days proclaimed in San Antonio

The City of San Antonio declared February 27-March 1, 2013, “HACU International Conference Days.” A proclamation was presented to the Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities (HACU) on behalf of Julián Castro, Mayor of the City of San Antonio, in honor of the 10th International Conference. The conference under the theme, “Creating Global-Minded Environments on Our Campuses," kicked off with a welcome reception at the Institute of Texan Cultures.

The goal of the conference is to provide an opportunity to discuss the latest trends, model programs. Research and cutting edge issues of importance to the international Hispanic higher education community.



  

The Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities, founded in 1986, represents more than 500 colleges and universities in the United States, Latin America, Spain, and school districts throughout the U.S. HACU is the only national association representing existing and emerging Hispanic-Serving Institutions (HSIs). The Association’s headquarters are in San Antonio, Texas, with regional offices in Washington, D.C. and Sacramento, California.
