The City of Chicago proclaims Oct. 26, 2013 as HACU Day

The city of Chicago declared Oct. 26, 2013 as Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities (HACU) Day. A proclamation was presented to HACU on behalf of Rahm Emanuel, mayor of the City of Chicago, in honor of HACU's 27th Annual Conference. The conference, under the theme "Championing Hispanic Higher Education: Securing the American Dream," runs from Oct. 26 - 28 at the Chicago Hilton.

The goal of the conference is to provide an opportunity to discuss the latest trends, model programs, research and cutting edge issues of importance to the Hispanic higher education community.
