Grant Competition: Promoting Study Abroad in Engineering, Physics, Geology and Geophysics
Closing Date July 28

This grant competition, Competition #4: Promoting Study Abroad in Engineering, Physics, Geology and Geophysics, is supported through a generous contribution from Founding Circle Partner, the ExxonMobil Foundation.  Higher educational institutions (HEIs) in the United States, Argentina, Brazil, Colombia and Mexico that promote study abroad or exchange programs in these fields are eligible to compete.

This grant competition will use the principle of leveraged innovation with HEIs that demonstrate the greatest commitment and innovation toward increasing study abroad between the United States and countries in the Western Hemisphere. In applying for Competition #4 grants, HEIs will be asked to demonstrate how they will assert leadership to implement the innovations proposed, address on-campus barriers to academic mobility and how they will to commit to making concrete changes to expand access to study abroad.

The intent of the competition as part of Competition #4: Promoting Study Abroad in Engineering, Physics, Geology and Geophysics is to award up to eight (8) 100K Strong Americas Innovator grants of $25,000 each to HEIs in the Western Hemisphere. The DOS, NAFSA and Partners of the Americas reserve the right to fund any or none of the applications submitted. Please refer to Section I, the Funding Opportunity Description, for a complete statement of goals and expected results.
