HACU on the Road visit planned in Ponce, Puerto Rico

Pontifical Catholic University of Puerto Rico (PCUPR) will be the host of a "HACU on the Road" event this fall. On September 4, the Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities (HACU) president and CEO Antonio R. Flores will speak about the state of Hispanic higher education during a private gathering at the University. Jorge Iván Vélez-Arocho, Ph.D., is the president of the PCUPR and also serves as chair of HACU’s Governing Board. 

The HACU on the Road tour is designed to promote national and international dialogue about the Hispanic higher education. 

Some of the locations the tour has visited in previous years are: Mexico City and Guanajuato, Mexico; Bogota, Colombia; Borough of Manhattan Community College, CUNY (N.Y.); Texas Tech University; St. Thomas University (Fla.); San Bernardino Community College District (Calif.); Maricopa County Community College District (Ariz.); Our Lady of the Lake University (Texas); University of Colorado Denver; and Northeastern Illinois University.

Past invited guests have included chancellors, presidents of colleges and universities, superintendents of Hispanic-Serving School Districts, elected officials, corporate leaders, and other supporters of Hispanic higher education.
