"La HACHE de HACU" Annual Giving invests in student success

Every year the Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities (HACU) asks friends, alumni and supporters to participate in its Annual Giving Campaign, La HACHE de HACU, and be a part of the Hispanic Alliance to Champion Higher Education.

All gifts, regardless of size, help support programs that make a big difference in the lives of students. Last year, students benefited from the following:

  • Over 2,000 high school students participated in four college and university tours to learn about college life, the admissions process and financial aid options.
  • Over 400 college and university students were placed in internship positions.
  • 13 college and university students received academic scholarships ranging from $1,000 to $5,133.
  • 90 college and university students received education travel awards to help them stay connected with their families.
  • Over 200 college and university students received a scholarship to attend the Student Track of HACU’s Annual Conference.

With the new year, HACU’s Annual Campaign fund goes back to zero, but HACU employees have already started moving the Campaign forward and with the help of friends of HACU like you and new Annual Giving donors the Association will continue investing in students.
