HACU to participate in May 5th - The Big Give SA, pledges being accepted

For the second year, the Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities (HACU) will be among the nonprofits participating in The Big Give SA, a 24-hour online donating event that will take place from midnight to midnight on May 5, 2015. You can show your support for the Big Give SA. To give to HACU on May 5, click here.

On May 5, anyone can make an online gift. All donations will give HACU the opportunity to earn matching funds and prize incentives. Donations can be made by smart phone, tablet, or computer. Minimum donation is $10. There is not a maximum donation.

HACU student scholarships and internships are two student programs that through HACU donations have helped to transform and support students in South Central Texas. To watch a short video about HACU’s impact, click here.

This year marks the 29th year since HACU’s founding in San Antonio, Texas. Since then, San Antonio has been home to HACU’s national headquarters. In 2016, HACU will bring its 30th national conference on Hispanic higher education to the Alamo City.

HACU’s participation in the San Antonio Big Give event is part of a national day of giving called Give Local America. The Big Give SA is community-wide giving event that helps increase public awareness of the local nonprofits addressing the community’s social challenges, and brings nonprofits and donors together, and connects people to causes.
