Applications for New Awards Developing Hispanic-Serving Institutions Program

The Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities encourages applications for the recent Notice of new awards for fiscal year (FY) 2015 by the U.S. Department of Education of Funding Opportunities for the Developing Hispanic-Serving Institutions Program. Catalog of Federal Domestic Assistance (CFDA) Number: 84.031S.

The HSI Program provides grants to assist HSIs to expand educational opportunities for, and improve the academic attainment of, Hispanic students. HSI Program grants also enable HSIs to expand and enhance the academic offerings, program quality, and institutional stability of colleges and universities that are educating the majority of Hispanic college students and help large numbers of Hispanic students and other low-income individuals complete postsecondary degrees.

The priority is: Projects that are designed to increase the number and proportion of high-need students (as defined in this notice) who are academically prepared for, enroll in, or complete on time college, other postsecondary education, or other career and technical education.

Applications Available: March 20, 2015.

Deadline for Transmittal of Applications: May 19, 2015.

Deadline for Intergovernmental Review: July 20, 2015.
