HACU President and CEO to highlight Hispanic education at USCIS Hispanic Heritage Month panel

Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities (HACU) President and CEO Antonio R. Flores participated in a panel for the Department of Homeland Security’s U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) Hispanic Heritage Month Observance, Sept. 16, 2015, in Washington, D.C.

The event for homeland security and immigration service employees will explore student opportunities, partnership benefits and other federal support of Hispanic-Serving Institutions (HSIs) through Executive Order 13555.

Flores will join panelists Sindy Benavides, director of civic engagement and community mobilization for the League of United Latin American Citizens, and Laura Vazquez, senior immigration legislative analyst for the National Council of La Raza.
