HACU unveils its 30th Anniversary Commemorative Medal

2016 is an anniversary year for the Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities (HACU), and as the City of San Antonio, Texas, celebrates the 125th Anniversary of Fiesta week on April 14-21, HACU has joined in these festivities with the unveiling of its first Fiesta Medal.

The HACU commemorative Fiesta medal celebrates the 30-year milestone of the 1986 founding of the association in San Antonio, where it continues to be headquartered and where it will host its 30th Annual Conference on October 8-10, 2016.

HACU has been the voice of Hispanic higher education, advocating for policy and legislation on behalf of Hispanic-Serving Institutions. The association began with 18 member institutions, and today, represents more than 450 institutions committed to Hispanic higher education.

The association also celebrates its 20th year under the leadership of president and CEO Antonio R. Flores. More>>
