The Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities (HACU) is participating in The Big Give SA on May 4 and is collecting donations to fund 30 scholarships for undergraduate students to attend the Association’s Student Track offered in conjunction with HACU’s 30th Annual Conference, October 8-10, 2016, in San Antonio, Texas.
This year’s conference marks the 30th anniversary of the founding of the Association and its premier conference on Hispanic higher education that provides a unique forum for the sharing of information and ideas for the best and most promising practices in the education of Hispanics.
HACU is raising funds to help connect undergraduate students with opportunities through Student Track, a three-day career and professional development program, which includes a financial literacy boot camp, a federal careers workshop, a panel on internships, fellowships and graduate school opportunities, a career fair and more. The program provides an opportunity for students to engage with leading employers, conference exhibitors and recruiters, and build on career, educational and leadership skills.
