HACU chief advocacy officer to deliver public policy briefing at NADOHE conference

Luis Maldonado, chief advocacy officer for the Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities (HACU), will deliver a public policy briefing as part of the National Association of Diversity Officers in Higher Education (NADOHE) conference on March 9, 2018, in Washington, D.C.

Following the general session keynote speech by Professor Augustine “Gus” John, Visiting Professor at Coventry University, Maldonado will provide a legislative update on Deferred Action for Early Arrivals (DACA), the Reauthorization of the Higher Education Act and how colleges and universities can best advocate and respond to changing legislation.

The theme for the NADOHE conference is “With Urgency & Purpose: Transcending boundaries, eliminating barriers, leading with bold vision and bold moves,” and is expected to have nearly 600 attendees
