HACU Webinar: Campus Climate Challenges: A Conversation with Diversity and Inclusion Experts
The Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities will offer a free webinar for faculty and staff of HACU member institutions on “Campus Climate Challenges: A Conversation with Diversity and Inclusion Experts,” September 14, 2018, 2:00 – 3:00 p.m. CST. | Register here.
The webinar explores how institutions of higher learning often faced difficult challenges that impact campus climate. In many cases, campus climates are impacted by the political, moral and social conversations taking place nationally.
The panelists will hone in on what campuses can do to make sure their students feel safe and included. Experts will share their experiences and approaches for handling controversial speakers, determining free speech versus hate speech and addressing hate and bias incidents. This will be an important discussion for administrators, faculty, staff and students.
