HACU and Denny's award scholarships to five students

The Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities is pleased to announce that five students from HACU-member institutions were the recipients of scholarships awarded through the 2018-19 Denny's Hungry for Education program. HACU was one of five leading non-profit minority advocacy organizations who partnered with Denny’s to offer scholarships.

The awardees submitted essays on how Denny's can impact childhood hunger in the United States. The following students were selected to receive $1,000 scholarship:

· Miguel Rivas - Dominican University
· Lilliany Negron Perez - Schreiner University
· Kennedy LeJeune - Southern University Law Center
· John Greg Jones - St. Thomas University
· Cynthia Jimenez - University of Colorado, Denver

The Denny's Hungry for Education Scholarships were part of the 2018-19 HACU Scholarship Program.
