HACU and HETS to partner on special edition online journal focused on Hispanic-Serving Institutions 

The Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities and Hispanic Educational Technology Services have announced their collaboration on a special edition of an online journal focused on Hispanic-Serving Institutions. The organizations shared missions to facilitate the success of Hispanic students in higher education will be highlighted through this collaboration.

Manuel J. Fernós, president of Inter American University of Puerto Rico spoke about the partnership during HACU’s 13th International Conference on May 2, 2019, in San Juan, Puerto Rico. The special edition of the journal will feature articles authored and reviewed by members of both organizations.

HACU and HETS members are invited to submit articles on best practices (either in English or Spanish) to be considered for publication in this special edition, fall issue of the HETS Online Journal. Click here to download the Call for Articles document with requirements for submission. Articles for this special issue will be accepted through September 13, 2019.

Subject matter experts from both organizations are encouraged to apply to become reviewers for this edition of the journal. Experts on the following topics are needed: integration of technology, online education, retention, assessment, and access to achieve student success. To be considered to serve as a reviewer, please submit a letter of recommendation from your dean or vice president validating your expertise, along with a copy of your curriculum vitae to info@hets.org by August 30, 2019.
