College students spend summer in paid internships at federal agencies

The Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities welcomed its first group of 2019 summer interns with an orientation on May 31, 2019, for those college students serving internships in Washington, D.C., and nationwide.

Approximately 173 students from colleges and universities across the country are among those who will be participating with the HACU’s National Internship Program. Students will be serving in paid internships at federal and corporate agencies. More than half of the students will be working in the Washington, D.C., metro area and others will be at field locations across the nation.

The summer internship program runs from May 30 - Aug. 9, 2019, and June 12 - Aug. 23 for students that attend institutions that operate on a quarter calendar.

There is still an opportunity for students to apply for a fall internship session that runs from Sept. 4 - Dec. 20. The application deadline for the fall session is June 7, 2019. Information about eligibility and online application is available here.

Among those participating in the summer internship session are college students from the following institutions. Click here for a complete list of students participating in the summer session.
