HACU National Internship Program announces 2022 dates

The Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities has announced the 2022 session dates and deadlines for the HACU National Internship Program. Now in its 30th year, HNIP has made over 13,000 internship placements and offers an opportunity for college students to gain real world working experience while working at various federal agencies across the country.

The internship sessions are for 15-weeks during the fall program, and 10-weeks for the summer program. The internships placements are at federal agencies in Washington, D.C. and field offices nationwide. Click here to apply.

The following are the session dates and deadlines for 2022:

  • Summer (June 6-Aug. 12, 2022) for students on regular calendar – Deadline: Feb. 25, 2022
  • Summer (June 20-Aug. 26, 2022) for students on quarter calendar – Deadline: Feb. 25, 2022
  • Fall (Sept. 6-Dec. 16, 2022) – Deadline: June 3, 2022

Applications for paid internship positions within the following agencies are being accepted: Agricultural Research Service, Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service, Centers for Disease Control, Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation, Federal Reserve Board, Fish and Wildlife Service, Food and Drug Administration, Food and Nutrition Service, Internal Revenue Service, Library of Congress, National Agricultural Statistics Service, National Credit Union Administration, National Institute of Food and Agriculture, National Science Foundation, Office of the Assistant Secretary for Civil Rights, Office of the Comptroller of the Currency, Office of the Director, Securities and Exchange Commission, U.S. Agency for International Development.

The HACU National Internship Program works with agencies to offer virtual internships due to COVID-19 and adapts the program as needed to continue offering these career development experiences for college students.
