HACU accepting applications for Southwest Airlines ¡Lánzate! Travel Program - May 15 is the extended deadline
The Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities and Southwest Airlines have opened applications for the 18th Annual ¡Lánzate! / Take Off! Travel Program. Online applications will be accepted through the extended deadline of May 15, 2022.
Through this national initiative, HACU and Southwest Airlines will award roundtrip flights to undergraduate and graduate students across the country who travel at least 200 miles from home to pursue a higher education and meet the eligibility criteria, including the submission of a required essay. Selected students receive tickets for use to travel between home and college or university.
A selection committee consisting of national education advocates and community leaders will select the award recipients. Recipients will be awarded eight one-way Southwest Airlines flight e-passes for the student to use when traveling to/from the college/university. The complimentary e-passes can be used for travel to any of the Southwest Airlines destinations in the continental United States as listed on www.southwest.com.
