Council of American Overseas Research Centers Relaunches Faculty Development Seminar Program

The Council of American Overseas Research Centers (CAORC) is accepting applications for faculty development seminars to India, Mexico, and Senegal. This program is specifically for minority-serving institution and community college faculty and administrators. It is a fully funded two-week seminar to one of CAORC’s overseas member centers to gain international experience with the aim of developing and improving international courses, curricula, and teaching materials at their home institutions.

Department of Energy Seeking Input from Community College, Trade School, and Union Training Program Leaders

The U.S. Department of Energy is hosting a listening session to provide information about the Industrial Assessment Centers (IAC) and allow participants to provide input on program design. Department of Energy’s IAC program has worked with four-year institutions of higher education to provide on-site technical assistance to small- and medium-size manufacturers and to train the next generation of energy-savvy engineers. The Bipartisan Infrastructure Law offers a historic opportunity to expand this Program to community colleges, trade schools, and union training programs
