Free HACU-member webinar: Una Plática on the All of Us Research Program

The Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities and the All of Us Research Program, an initiative by the National Institutes of Health (NIH) to change the future of health through research, will be hosting a free webinar for HACU members on Thursday, February 23, 2023, from 2-3:30 p.m. CDT.

The webinar will highlight the program’s efforts to build a database to help transform the future of health research by equipping researchers nationwide with expansive health data from diverse populations, especially those underrepresented in biomedical research. HACU members will have an opportunity to learn ways their campus can access the dataset and utilize it to improve understanding of health and disease, reduce disparities, and enable more precise approaches to public health challenges.

In addition to engaging participants, the All of Us Research Program is committed to recruiting researchers from all educational and career stages. One such program is the All of Us Research Scholar Program, an eight-month program providing mentorship, training, and hands-on experience to support students in a health research project using the diverse All of Us data. These scholars and many other researchers present their projects at the free, virtual All of Us Researchers Convention from March 29-31. Learn more at https://2023.allofusresearchersconvention.org/
