"NASCAR contributed $5,600 to the Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities in February 2002. The grant will be used to award NASCAR Scholarship awards to eligible students attending HACU-Member and Partner Institutions.

""HACU appreciates the generous support from NASCAR,"" said Dr. Antonio R. Flores, HACU President and CEO. ""Last year HACU awarded several scholarships to students at HACU-Member and Partner Institutions and along with NASCAR, we will support Hispanic higher education again this year.""

NASCAR sanctions more than 2,200 events at 136 racetracks. For more information on NASCAR, visit www.nascar.com.

The Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities represents more than 315 colleges and universities committed to Hispanic higher education.
