HACU to partner with DOL on Opportunity Conference

HACU will partner with the U.S. Department of Labor (DOL) to present the Sixth Annual Opportunity Conference on Oct. 23, 2008. Secretary of Labor Elaine Chao will host the conference that will take place in Orlando, Florida. The conference is free.

Celebrating the contributions of the region's Asian Pacific, Hispanic and African American communities, the Opportunity Conference will emphasize key components of economic development and working with federal, state, and local government. Workshop topics will include access to capital, job training, financial literacy, understanding federal procurement opportunities, addressing the needs of workers with limited English proficiency and accessing faith-based and community grants.
