Flores signs MOU between HACU and the National Education Association

The Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities (HACU) and The National Education Association (NEA) entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to promote a strong public education agenda.

The agreement between the organizations is to collaborate on major gatherings; offer technical assistance and resources through the respective organizations’ public education advocacy programs-devoted to energizing communities in support of students and public education; seek active support in policies and legislative areas that advocate retention of native language and culture, and engage in other related public education advocacy initiatives.

HACU President and CEO, Antonio Flores and Vice President of the NEA, Lily Eskelsen signed on behalf of the organizations.  The signing took place at HACU’s 14th Annual Capitol Forum, held in Washington D.C., March 1-3.
