HACU-DHHS summer program dates announced – apply by April 17

Applications are still being accepted for the 2009 HACU - U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) Professions Capacity Building Program. The summer program is open to administrators and support staff in the Office of Sponsored Programs and Research – or its equivalent program.  Participants receive paid travel, lodging expenses, and a stipend. An online application and supporting documents must be submitted by Friday, April 17, 2009.

The purpose of the HACU-DHHS program is to increase participation of HSI entry-level faculty engaged in grant development efforts focusing on improving health status, disease prevention and promotion of health of Hispanics and other minority populations. The program includes an overview of funding opportunities available through the National Institutes of Health (NIH).

A pre-workshop online course is included and with workshops to be held on the following dates:
