Antonio Flores to deliver keynote address at University of New Mexico Commencement

Antonio Flores, president and CEO of HACU, will deliver the keynote address at the University of New Mexico (UNM) spring commencement on Saturday, May 16, at 9 a.m. in Tingley Coliseum at Expo New Mexico (State Fairgrounds). UNM President David Schmidly, a member of the HACU Governing Board, will serve as the master of ceremonies and confer degrees.  

Approximately 2,453 students will be awarded degrees from UNM’s Albuquerque and Extended University campuses. The Class of 2009 will receive: 1,632 bachelor’s degrees, 477 master’s degrees, 75 doctorates, 95 juris doctorates, 75 medical doctorates, 85 pharmacy doctorates, five graduate certificates and nine education specialists.

UNM-Gallup will award 56 associate degrees and 10 certificates; UNM-Los Alamos will award 17 associate degrees and two certificates; UNM Taos will award 27 associate degrees and nine certificates; and UNM-Valencia will award 44 associate degrees and five certificates.
