HACU accepting nominations for
Alumni Association Executive Board
Nominations for the HACU Alumni Association (HAA) Executive Board Elections for 2009 are being accepted.
The following positions are open for election by the HAA general membership (for more
1. Chairperson
2. Vice-Chairperson for Community Relations
3. Vice-Chairperson for Treasury
4. Vice-Chairperson for Fundraising
Details about the positions are available in the HACU Alumni Association Bylaws, Article IV http://www.hnip.net/alumni/contentID.14/alumni.asp. Board members must be able to attend three mandatory meetings in Washington, DC.
Individuals can self-nominate and/or nominate a fellow alumna/us by submitting a nomination form to alumni@hacu.net. A nominee may only run for one position. Throughout the nomination period, each nominee will be contacted by a member of the HAA Elections Committee to confirm his or her interest in running for office. The Election Board will compile nominations and post to the list serve and HACU Web site shortly before the election polls open.
The voting process will be managed in accordance with the terms outlined in the HAA bylaws. Per the bylaws, all votes will only be accepted electronically. A copy of the bylaws can be located on the HACU Alumni page: http://www.hnip.net/alumni/contentID.14/alumni.asp

August 14, 2009: nomination period open.
August 28, 2009: nomination period closed. All nominees posted
September 28, 2009: Polls Open - First day for voting. (details will be

October 11-25, 2009: Votes counted.
October 25, 2009: New Board Announced.
