Flores speaks on strategies for corporate funders to support education

HACU President and CEO Dr. Antonio Flores presented as a panelist during the Contributions Council Program in Atlanta on Sept. 15.

Flores offered his perspective of strategies that corporate funders should consider and pursue for Hispanic-Serving Institutions. The panel discussion included Strategies for Support of Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) and Diverse Faculties at all colleges and universities.

Other panelists were John Wilson, Executive Director of the White House Initiative for HBCUs, and Millie Garcia, Chair of the American Council on Education's Commission on Advancement of Racial and Ethnic Equality.



  

The Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities, founded in 1986, represents more than 500 colleges and universities in the United States, Latin America, Spain, and school districts throughout the U.S. HACU is the only national association representing existing and emerging Hispanic-Serving Institutions (HSIs). The Association’s headquarters are in San Antonio, Texas, with regional offices in Washington, D.C. and Sacramento, California.
