This month the HACU on the Road nationwide tour will travel to Phoenix, Miami, and Lubbock, TX. Maripoca County Community College will host the tour’s visit to Phoenix on March 10. The tour will then head to Florida where St. Thomas University will host the visit on March 18. A visit to Texas Tech University in Lubbock, TX, is planned for on March 31.

Antonio R. Flores, HACU president and CEO, recently spoke at HACU on the Road visits in Dallas, Houston, and San Antonio.  As part of the visits, City of Dallas Mayor Tom Leppert, City of Houston Mayor Annise D. Parker, and City of San Antonio Mayor Julián Castro each granted proclamations to HACU in recognition of the association’s commitment to championing Hispanic higher education in the United States and internationally.

The tour is designed to promote national and international dialogue about the state of Hispanic higher education among invited chancellors, presidents of colleges and universities, superintendents of Hispanic-Serving School Districts, elected officials, corporate leaders, and other supporters of Hispanic higher education.
