HSIs invited to a Free Building Green Learning Institute in San Antonio, June 10-12

HSIs are invited to attend theUNCF Building Green Learning Institute in San Antonio, June 10-12, 2010.Register today to take advantage of free hotel lodging, meals, and materials.

The Building Green Learning Institute will provide campus leaders responsible for advancing sustainability and green building at Hispanic-Serving Institutions with best practices, resources and technology solutions for greening campuses. Experts in sustainability, sustainable design, building and finance will share effective strategies for greening the campus infrastructure.

This institute will feature informational sessions for presidents, vice presidents, and faculty and will include:

  • A Town Hall Meeting
  • Workshops on how to finance green buildings, energy efficiency and retrofits, LEED certification and more
  • Model presentations

A special session has been planned for faculty working to integrate sustainability in the curriculum and an Energy Audit training will be conducted for students. Interested faculty and students should contact our office directly for additional information.
