DENVER, Colorado – The Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities (HACU) today honored the Eastman Kodak Company for outstanding support for the college, community and career needs of the nation’s youngest and largest ethnic population.

“Eastman Kodak is a global leader in its support for education, whether providing education support to a province in China or supporting an E-Pals partnership between Kodak employees and fifth grade students in the United States,” said HACU President and CEO Antonio Flores.

“Kodak annually opens new doors to college through scholarship awards to Hispanic and other minority students. We honored to have this opportunity to welcome a distinguished new partner that shares HACU’s mission to promote Hispanic higher education access, equity and success,” Flores said.

Flores presented the Award for Outstanding New HACU Private Sector Partner to the Eastman Kodak Company at HACU’s 16th Annual Conference under way in Denver, Colorado. Eastman Kodak is a sponsor of the conference, which has attracted the attendance of hundreds of Hispanic higher education leaders, advocates and students.

HACU represents more than 335 member and partner colleges and universities that collectively serve more than two-thirds of all Hispanic higher education students in the United States.

Kodak provides scholarships, in-kind services and other support to students and universities nationwide. Eastman Kodak also is spending $1.2 million on a three-year national campaign, “Success in School Equals Success in Life, ” to increase parental involvement in the education of Hispanic and other minority students.
