SDSU hosts HACU's Youth Leadership Development Forum

The Youth Leadership Development Forum, hosted by San Diego State University on Sept. 17 as a pre-conference event of HACU’s 24th Annual Conference, attracted almost 700 middle schools students, including 28 from the South Bay area as well as Imperial County.

The event, which was attended by mostly eighth graders, featured a full-day program emphasizing leadership skills and teamwork, as well as the importance and accessibility of a college education. Throughout the day student attendees learned about the admission and financial aid processes from SDSU representatives, took a campus tour, and attended career panels featuring careers in advertising, communications, science, health, and others.
