Special Membership Benefit for HACU-member students interested in teaching English in Spain – Nov. Deadline

HACU will be sending a notification list to the Ministry of Education of Spain of any students from HACU-member institutions that submit applications to teach English in Spain. Eligible students will be offered positions within the K-12 public school system and will receive a "Teach Abroad Grant" to teach English to native Spanish speakers. Download the program brochure. More than 2,000 openings are available for U.S. Language & Cultural Assistants ("Cultural Ambassadors") for the 2011-2012 school year. HACU is requesting applicant information from HACU-members (student name and institution) that apply during the month of November. Please send information to Lourdes Bird lbird@hacu.net to ensure inclusion in the list of names submitted to the Ministry. Students who provide this information to HACU in the month of November and meet program requirements will be guaranteed acceptance to the program

Presenter proposals being accepted for HACU 2011 conferences

HACU is seeking your expertise and has presentation opportunities at two of 2011 conferences. Submit your proposal soon. The deadline for speaker proposals for HACU’s 9th International Conference is this Friday, Nov. 12Speaker proposals are also being accepted for HACU’s 25th Annual Conference, “25 Years of Championing Hispanic Higher Education,” where HACU will celebrate its Silver Anniversary. The deadline to submit proposals is April 15.

Help kids get covered and "in the game" with Children's Health Insurance
