HACU's Sixth PreK-12/Higher Education Collaboration Symposium

HACU's Sixth PreK-12/Higher Education Collaboration Symposium will include discussions on successful models of collaboration leading to systemic change emphasizing on matriculation, retention and graduation of minority students.

Sessions will involve discussion panels among participants about opportunities for collaborations. The Symposium will benefit higher education leaders, PreK-12 administrators and other community stakeholders to be able to promote and empower their communities to implement collaborative practices utilizing the resources and connections highlighted during the Symposium.

The objectives of this symposium are:

  • To showcase and share effective collaborative programs between school districts and institutions of higher education as they impact matriculation, retention and graduation.
  • To provide resources and networks for administrators of Hispanic-Serving School Districts, Hispanic-Serving Institutions (HSIs) and emerging HSIs to further develop PK-higher education collaborations, programs and policies that foster student access and success.
