University of Maryland Faculty Development in International Business (FDIB) Cuba
The University of Maryland’s Robert H. Smith School of Business CIBER is leading a faculty development program to Cuba in May 2018. Call for applications: Course Development Stipends for Russia, Eastern Europe and Asia. Six Title VI National Resource Centers plan to award stipends to faculty at community colleges and minority-serving institutions to develop and incorporate greater content about Russia, Eastern Europe, and Eurasia into the curricula of the institutions at which they teach.

HACU meets with Host and Advisory Council in Atlanta
HACU President and CEO Antonio R. Flores and HACU staff were in Atlanta Georgia on Nov. 30, 2017, for the first 32nd Annual Conference Host and Advisory Council meeting held at the Atlanta Marriott Marquis, site of the 2018 conference. This marks the first HACU conference to be held in Atlanta. More>>

HACU seeks four researchers for food security research project
HACU in partnership with the National Center for Supercomputing Applications at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign are among the partner organizations inviting submissions from researchers at HACU-member institutions for an NSF-funded project designed to leverage a diverse community of researchers to develop innovative research projects around the topic of food security. HACU is currently seeking students interested in applying for a summer 2018 internship in the federal or corporate sector. The summer internship program dates are from June 1 - August 10, 2018, and for students who attend institutions that operate on a quarter calendar June 14- August 24. HACU, Relay GSE partnership to promote teacher diversity
HACU has partnered with Relay GSE, a Relay Teaching Residency two-year graduate program where new teachers earn their teaching certification, a master’s degree, and a full-time job placement with salary and benefits. The Relay program is open to all majors, including graduating seniors, graduates, and career changers. Relay GSE is dedicated to diversifying the teacher pipeline and graduates from HACU member schools can apply for consideration for 10 slots allocated for students from HACU-member institutions that meet the requirements of the Teaching Residency program. Stories submitted will be considered for publishing in an upcoming issue of The Voice of Hispanic Higher Education magazine. We accept up to 500 word count with a university logo and photos.
