U.S.-Argentina Workforce Development Competition This Innovation Fund Competition, supported by Chevron Corporation, the Department of State, and the U.S. Embassy in Buenos Aires, is open to all higher education institutions in the United States and Argentina seeking to increase student mobility in the fields of Economic Development and STEM, with a special emphasis on energy, geosciences, and national resource management. Deadline to apply is March 15, 2018.

The National Center for Supercomputing Applications' (NCSA) Blue Waters Project has announced a new sub-allocation category called “Broadening Participation." This new category is open to faculty and research staff at US academic institutions who have not previously been a PI on a research allocation on the Blue Waters system. Requests must be submitted by March 15, 2018. 

The Inter-University Program for Latino Research (IUPLR) is now accepting applications for academic year 2018-19. The program supports ABD doctoral students in the humanities who are writing dissertations in Latina/o studies.

Call for applications. The Fundacion Consejo España- EE.UU. offers US graduates the possibility of obtaining nine months paid international experience. In order to participate, applicants must be a US citizen  and have graduated between Jan. 2015 - Aug. 2018.  

The Astrobiology Faculty Diversity Program  is seeking applicants: Faculty members at a US college or university designated by the US Department of Education as a Minority Serving Institution.

NASA Office of Education 
is seeking student authored and independently conceived graduate research proposals responding to a NASA Research Opportunity listed in the solicitation. Proposals are due March 20, 2018.

The National Community College Hispanic Council (NCCHC) Leadership Fellows Program
is looking for individuals who are aspiring leaders, from community colleges to participate in the upcoming 2018 NCCHC Leadership Fellows Program. The program is designed to provide further professional and leadership growth and to expand the pipeline of well-prepared administrators who aspire to leadership positions. The application deadline is April 2, 2018

HACU urges Congress to oppose the PROSPER Act (H.R. 4508
The Promoting Real Opportunity, Success, and Prosperity through Education Reform (PROSPER) Act represents the majority’s attempt to reform the Higher Education Act. HACU's letter outlines how the bill negatively impacts Hispanic-Serving Institutions. HACU is urging individuals to contact members of Congress to urge them to oppose the Prosper Act. More>>  


Title V program success stories
HACU is soliciting success stories about how Title V program funding has made a difference for students on your campus. Stories submitted will be considered for publishing in an upcoming issue of The Voice of Hispanic Higher Education magazine. We accept up to 500 word count with a university logo and photos.
