National Endowment for the Humanities summer 2019 NEH Institute, Museums: Humanities in the Public Sphere. Deadline is March 1, 2019.

AI for Enrollment Helpdesk Grant The Grant provides selected institutions a grant award that covers 100% of the implementation cost, i.e. up to $50,000 associated with the AI support platform. Deadline is Jan. 31, 2019

2019 HSF summer programs available to exceptional high school juniors (class of 2020), as well as the HSF scholarship available to high school seniors and current college students. Deadline is March 8, 2019.

The USDA Forest Service is seeking grant applications for forest restoration projects on public and tribal lands in New Mexico by 5 PM, MST, Feb. 19, 2019.

Request for HSI success stories  
HACU is soliciting success stories about how Title V and NSF HSI program funding has made a difference for students on your campus. We accept up to 500 word count with a university logo and photos. Email content or questions to news@hacu.net. The deadline for consideration for the spring magazine is Feb. 1, 2019.

Extended Early Bird registration deadline for Annual National Capitol Forum is Jan. 31st     
HACU will host its 24th Annual Capitol Forum on Hispanic higher education on April 1-2, 2019, in Washington, D.C. The partial government shutdown does not impact the Capitol Forum or the visits with Congressional offices. Jan. 31 is the deadline to register at the early bird rate. The Advertising deadline is Feb. 25. Sponsorship Opportunities are also available. More>>

Ford College Community Challenge HSIs Grants available  
HACU and the Ford Motor Company Fund are accepting applications for the “Ford College Community Challenge” grant. Applications are open to students at HACU-member Hispanic-Serving Institutions. Seeking applications from students to collaborate with a non-profit on a proposal to help address a local need that will help make people’s lives better. Three proposals will be awarded a grant. Deadline to apply is March 1, 2019. More>>

Agenda, workshops announced for 13th International Conference in San Juan, Puerto Rico
HACU will host its13th International Conference “University Resilience and Renaissance: The Challenge of Climate Change and Other Global Shifts,” on May 1-3, 2019, at the Sheraton Puerto Rico Hotel and Casino in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Eighteen concurrent workshops will be offered. More>> 


College students begin spring internships others delayed due to government shutdown
Approximately 60 college students are among those who have started, or will soon begin the spring session of HACU’s National Internship Program. Due to the partial government shutdown at least 60 other college students selected for the program are unable to begin their spring internship assignments. More>> 

Application deadline approaching for summer internships
The HACU National Internship Program is accepting student applications for summer internships through Feb. 15, 2019. HNIP offers college students the opportunity to gain valuable experience working at a corporation or a federal government agency, in Washington, D.C., or offices across the nation. More>>

HACU accepting applications for the Exito: CIA Career Exploration Boot-Camp
Up to 30 college freshmen from HACU-member institutions will be selected to participate in the “Exito: CIA Career Exploration Boot-Camp,” a two-day career exploration event for college freshmen to be held June 2019 in Washington, DC. More>>
