The Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities (HACU) Leader-in-Residence is a competitive program where students from HACU-member institutions across the U.S. and Puerto Rico apply to receive leadership and career development training. Selected students are designated as a "HACU Leader-in-Residence" at their home institution. These Leaders receive a sponsorship to participate in the Student Track component of the HACU Annual Conference, known as the ¡Adelante! Leadership Institute.
In addition, Leaders will participate in HACU leadership development webinars during the academic year. Leaders will also serve as a HACU resource to other students on their campus. Each Leader will be required to identify a faculty or staff advisor at their university and meet with their advisor during the course of the program. Leaders are expected to conduct an information session on HACU internships, scholarships, and other services on their campus as well as assist in increasing engagement of their fellow students in HACU’s programs and advocacy efforts.
Deadline to apply is Friday, June 23, 2023 at 5:00 PM CST. For questions, please e-mail erik.sandoval@hacu.net.
