HACU Scholarship Opportunities
The Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities (HACU) is proud to connect students with scholarships funded by our corporate, federal or nonprofit partners.
These scholarships can help pay for tuition, books, fees, and other college costs. Awards and requirements vary by scholarship. Whether just starting a college journey or continuing it, HACU is here to support students every step of the way.

Things to Keep in Mind:
- New scholarships may be added throughout the semester, so check back often!
- If you are transferring to a new college or university, make sure it’s a HACU-member institution to stay eligible. View HACU Membership Directory
- Some scholarships ask for proof of financial need. This usually means completing a FAFSA or a state/institutional aid application. If you are not sure how to do this, your school’s financial aid office can help.
American Red Cross Biomedical Services (CLOSED)

Students must meet the following eligibility criteria:
The Emerging Leaders Council Scholarships are available to full-time undergraduate college students of all majors who meet the following eligibility criteria:
- Must be a freshman, sophomore, or junior during the 2026-2027 academic year.
- Must be bilingual in English and Spanish.
- Must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 (on a 4.0 scale).
- Must hold a leadership position of a recognized student organization on campus and host a minimum of three blood drives per academic year on your campus.
- Must be enrolled at one of the following 4-year institutions from various states, including Arizona, California, Colorado, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Maryland, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Texas, and Virginia.
- Students must also write an essay responding to the following topic: Reflect on your experience or contributing to a meaningful project or initiative on your campus. How did you engage others, and what impact did it have? How would you apply those experiences to organizing a successful blood drive (at least three pers academic year) as part of the Emerging Leaders Council?
Café Bustelo El Café del Futuro Scholarship (OPEN)
Amount: $5,000
Term or Year: Fall 2026 (2026-2027 academic year)

The scholarships are available to undergraduate and graduate students of all majors who are enrolled full-time at a four-year HACU-member institution.
The El Café del Futuro Scholarships are available to students who meet the following eligibility criteria:
Must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 (on a 4.0 scale).
Must have applied for and received financial aid for the 2026-27 academic year.
Must be considered a first-generation college student. (Student’s parent(s) or legal guardian(s) did not complete a four-year bachelor’s degree from a university in the United States.)
Students must also write an essay responding to the following topic:
- Describe how you celebrate Latin culture with your family, friends or community. How have these cultural experiences influenced your desire and motivation to obtain a college degree? Additionally, how do you plan to use your education to further support and uplift your community or profession?
Coca-Cola First Generation Scholarship (OPEN)
Amount: $5,000

Students must meet the following eligibility criteria:
- Must be a graduating high school senior in 2025-2026 academic year and have a minimum high school grade point average of 3.0.
- Or a college student who has completed at least one year of college studies and plans to continue for the 2026-2027 academic term. Students must have a minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
- Must be attending or plan to attend a HACU-member institution.
- Must be a first-generation college student.
Corteva AgriScience Scholarship (OPEN)
Amount: $3,575
Term or Year: Fall 2026 (2026-2027 academic year)

Students must meet the following eligibility criteria:
- Must be currently enrolled for spring 2026 semester/quarter and intend to enroll in the Fall 2026 semester/quarter at a 4-year HACU-member institution in the U.S. or Puerto Rico.
- Must be enrolled full-time.
- Must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 (on a 4.0 scale).
- Have not received a HACU Conference Sponsorship.
- Open to students majoring in Agriculture or Agrobusiness.
Students must also write an essay responding to the following topic:
- Describe how your personal experience, education, and future aspirations contribute to innovation, sustainability, or food security in agriculture.
- Four scholarship recipients will have the opportunity to attend the ¡Adelante! Leadership Institute at HACU’s 40th Annual Conference in Chula Vista, California.
Deloitte Foundation Scholarship (OPEN)
Amount: $2,500
Term or Year: Fall 2026 (2026-2027 academic year)

The scholarships are available to students majoring in accounting, business, business administration, computer science, computer systems, cybersecurity, data analytics/business analytics, economics, mechanical engineering, computer engineering, finance, information systems, management information systems, marketing, mathematics, operations, supply chain, logistics, statistics, and technology.
Students must also meet the following eligibility criteria:
- Must be currently enrolled for spring 2026 semester/quarter and intend to enroll in the fall 2026, spring 2027, fall 2027, and spring 2028 semester/quarter at a 2-year or 4-year HACU-member institution in the U.S. or Puerto Rico.
- Must be classified as a freshman, sophomore, junior or senior.
- Must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 (on a 4.0 scale).
- Must have applied for and be eligible for financial aid for the 2026-27 academic year.
Denny’s Hungry for Education Scholarship (OPEN)
Amount: $2,000

The Denny’s Hungry for Education Scholarship is available to students in all majors who meet the following eligibility criteria:
- Undergraduate or graduate student.
- Must be currently enrolled for spring 2026 semester at a 2-year or 4-year HACU-member institution in the U.S. or Puerto Rico.
- Intend to enroll in the fall 2026 semester at a 2-year or 4-year HACU-member institution in the U.S. or Puerto Rico.
- Minimum GPA of 2.5 or higher (on a 4.0 scale).
- U.S. Citizens or permanent residents.
- Applicant must submit a 500-word essay about how Denny’s can help bring communities together. If notified of selection, scholarship recipients are required to submit a head shot electronically to HACU for Denny’s press purposes.
Home Depot Scholarship (OPEN)
Amount: $1,500
Term or Year: Fall 2026 (2026-2027 academic year)

The Home Depot scholarship is available to full-time undergraduate and graduate students enrolled at a HACU-member institution.
Applicants for the scholarship must meet the following criteria:
- Applicants must have a GPA of 2.5 or higher (on a 4.0 scale).
- Applicants must demonstrate financial need upon application.
- Applicants must be citizens or permanent residents of the United States or Puerto Rico.
- Applicants must be majoring in a business or engineering related degree including but not limited to: Accounting, Finance, Marketing, Management/Business Management, Analytics, Information Systems, Human Resources, Entrepreneurship, Supply Chain Management/Logistics, International Business.
United Health Foundation Scholarship (OPEN)
Amount: $10,000
Term or Year: Fall 2026 (2026-2027 academic year)
Awards Available: 65
Renewable: Yes
Deadline: May 15, 2026 at 11:59 p.m. CST

Applicants for the scholarship must meet the following criteria:
- Undergraduate college student enrolled full-time or part-time. · Must be enrolled or plan to enroll at a HACU-Member Hispanic-Serving Institution.
- Must be classified as sophomores entering their junior year during the fall 2026 semester.
- Must have two years of study remaining before anticipated degree completion date.
- Must have and maintain cumulative GPA of 3.0 (on a 4.0 scale).
- Must demonstrate financial need upon application.
- Scholarship recipients must attend the ¡Adelante! Leadership Institute at HACU’s 40th Annual Conference, Oct. 31 – Nov. 2, 2026, in Chula Vista, California.
