Statement on the retirement of Dr. Milton Gordon, President, California State University Fullerton

The Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities (HACU) congratulates Dr. Milton Gordon on the announcement of his upcoming retirement after 22 years of service at California State University Fullerton, capping a lifetime devoted to higher education beginning in his hometown of Chicago and extending across the country to California.

HACU is especially grateful for Dr. Gordon’s service on its Governing Board since 2001, including two years as Chair (2008-2010).  Dr. Gordon continues to serve on the Board as Immediate Past Chair and Chair of the Government Relations Committee. 

Among Dr. Gordon’s many awards and recognitions is HACU’s own 2010 President’s Award of Excellence.

The University’s announcement amply documents his many achievements there and his lifelong commitment to diversity and educational access and excellence.  HACU is honored to have benefited from Dr. Gordon’s wisdom and dedication over the last decade and wishes him all the best in his upcoming retirement.
