HACU's PreK-12/Higher Education Collaboration Symposium

HACU's Ninth PreK-12/Higher Education Collaboration Symposium is a pre-conference event focusing on high impact collaborative practices implemented between colleges, universities, school districts and the community that have led to systemic change.

The Symposium benefits higher education leaders, PreK-12 educators/administrators and other community stakeholders to be able to promote and empower their communities to implement collaborative practices utilizing the resources and connections highlighted during the Symposium.

The objectives of this symposium are:

  • Identifying effective collaborative programs between school districts and institutions of higher education as they impact matriculation, retention and graduation.
  • Providing resources and connections, so that administrators of Hispanic-Serving School Districts, Hispanic-Serving Institutions (HSIs) can further develop PK-16 collaborations, programs and policies that foster student access and success.
  • Empowering higher education, leaders, PreK-12 educators/administrators and other community stakeholders to promote and form high impact collaborative practices utilizing the resources and connections made during the Symposium.
