HACU partnership with U.S. Department of Homeland Security to offer internships for STEM, IT and Cybersecurity majors

A partnership with the U.S. Department of Homeland Security’s (DHS), Chief Human Capital Officer, Office of Diversity and Inclusion will offer internships nationwide, as part of the HACU National Internship Program (HNIP). Internships will be available beginning this summer with additional opportunities offered in the fall and spring. Click here to read news release. 

  • Undergraduate and graduate students majoring in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM), information technology (IT), and cybersecurity fields, are encouraged to apply.
  • Summer internships are for 10 weeks, and fall and spring internships are for 15 weeks.
  • Interns will receive a bi-weekly stipend and round-trip travel.
  • College Students can apply online.

The new partnership provides an additional resource for DHS to bring a talented and diverse pool of interns to support its mission and goals.
