HACU and UTSA present OIT Laptop Award

The Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities (HACU) and the University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA) awarded Maritza Caballero with the Office of Information Technology (OIT) Laptop Award.

The awardee is selected from graduates of UTSA's Tomas Rivera Center for Academic Success Access College & Excel (ACE) Scholar Program who have obtained a GPA of at least 2.50 and exemplified strong community and campus involvement while at UTSA.

Caballero graduated from UTSA with a Bachelor of Science in Public Health with a concentration in epidemiology in the fall 2017. She is an ACE Scholar and is continuing her education at the University of Texas Health Science Center San Antonio (UTHSCSA) through the accelerated nursing program.

The laptop award program originated with a partnership between HACU and Gateway. UTSA chose to continue to make annual laptop awards after the Gateway partnership ended.
