Participants of 2012 Hispanic College Quiz announced

HACU congratulates the students from its member institutions that will be participating in the 2012 Hispanic College Quiz show. The following are the participants: 

1.      Adams State University (Colorado) - Judith Martinez

2.      Columbia Basin College (Washington) - Veronica Ortiz

3.      Columbia College Chicago - Karen Marlene Herrejon

4.      Los Angeles Harbor College - Carlos Alvarado

5.      Lynn University (Florida) - Lisette Villegas

6.      University of Houston-Downtown - Isaac Valdez

7.      Victoria College (Texas) - Ivan Ramirez

8.      Sul Ross State University (Texas) - Diana Salazar

9.      Broward College (Florida)- Mike Sandoval

The “Hispanic College Quiz” will feature Hispanic undergraduate college students answering a series of multiple-choice questions on Latino history. The show will be taped in Chicago the week of July 23. Coaches who submitted entries and were selected will be contacted to set up a conference call to discuss further details.

This year's series will consist of four half-hour quiz shows that will air across the country during Hispanic Heritage Month, September 15-October 14, 2012.
