HACU President speaks at AAU’s Second Ford Colloquium,
Michigan
HACU President and CEO Antonio R. Flores served as a keynote
speaker at the Second Ford Association of American Universities (AAU)
Colloquium on the topic “The Future of Campus Diversity: Addressing the
Challenge," on May 20, 2013 in Ann Arbor, Mich. The colloquium is focused
on effective practices for AAU universities affected by anti-affirmative action
laws in seven states and to ensure that campus diversity reflects state populations.
The colloquium unites the member institutions around a shared vision for public campuses that recognizes the reality of the growing demographic of majority-minority populations in K-12 schools and beyond. Dr. Flores will provide remarks on Latino student recruitment and educational equity for those students and their families.
