The Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities (HACU) has announced that the new chair of its Governing Board will be William V. Flores, Ph.D., provost and associate vice chancellor of Antioch University, Santa Barbara, and confirmed four other officers and four new members to its Board.
The other newly-elected Governing Board officers are:
Vice Chair Félix V. Matos Rodríguez, Ph.D., president of Queens College, CUNY; Treasurer Beatriz T. Espinoza, Ph.D., president of Coastal Bend College; Secretary Monte E. Pérez, Ph.D., president of Los Angeles Mission College; and Past Chair Tomás D. Morales, Ph.D., president of California State University San Bernardino.
The four new members are:
Maria Harper-Marinick, Ph.D., chancellor of Maricopa County Community College
Sue Henderson, Ph.D., president of New Jersey City University
Carlos M. Padín Bibiloni, Ph.D., chancellor of Universidad Metropolitana
Andrew Sund, Ph.D., president of St. Augustine College
HACU would like to thank the following individuals for their contributions to the Board. Completing their terms: Glen E. Gabert, Ph.D., president, Hudson County Community College;
Sharon K. Hahs, Ph.D., president emeritus, Northeastern Illinois University; and
Jorge Iván Vélez-Arocho, Ph.D., president, Pontificia Universidad Católica de Puerto Rico.
